Professional + Polished

Molecular Life Sciences (MLS) is the newest undergraduate major in IU’s storied history of outstanding science degree offerings.

Created with the pre-professional in mind, MLS is designed to prepare you for the rigorous postgraduate work that comes along with attending medical school, dental school, or seeking a Ph.D in life sciences.

With a focus on depth of knowledge, the MLS major is an interdisciplinary major. For your first two years, you’ll be immersed in a well-designed blend of courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math, all taught by our world-class faculty. In your junior year, you’ll select your concentration: Molecular and Structural Biology or Developmental and Cellular Biology.
